A course in finding, and keeping, your own home practice of yoga

You already know how awesome yoga is, right? You love your yoga classes and you know that a home practice would take that goodness to a whole new level. But it’s hard to practice at home. All kinds of things get in the way. Maybe, like I did, you’ve started to think that you’ll never be one of those people who can find the motivation to practice yoga by yourself? I hear you. I created this course for myself because I struggled with my home yoga practice. I tried bribing myself into it, nagging myself into it, forcing myself into it. None of that worked. What worked – for me and for hundreds of others – is the simple, compassionate approach I set out in this course. 30 days of yoga is an online program designed to give you everything you need to begin (or restart) a regular practice of yoga in the comfort of your own home. All you need to bring is the intention to give yourself what you need and the willingness to be a bit kinder to yourself than you might generally be.

When does it start? You can start whenever you want. You decide when to start. You decide how many days per week you want to practice. Together, we take it from there.

How much does it cost? The recommended base price is US$100, but please email me if this price is not accessible to you and we’ll find a way to make it work for you. You also have the option of adding on 2 hours of one-on-one coaching by email with Marianne to support your practice. The total price for your 30 day membership plus extended coaching is $240.

Beginners 30 days of yoga

An online course for brand new, ‘never-omed in my life’ yogis and yoginis

All your friends keep raving about yoga, right? And if taxi drivers and Iraq war vets are doing yoga, then you think it might be time to give it a try yourself. But there are no classes where you live. Or you’re afraid to go along to a class because you’re really inflexible, or uncoordinated, or just a little more lusciously proportioned than the svelte hipsters who seem to fill the classes in the trendy neighbourhood yoga studio? Or maybe, like I did, you live in the mountains of Afghanistan and the nearest yoga studio is a long-haul flight away. I created this course for you. It’s possible to begin your practice of yoga with the body you have right now, no matter how unbendy, curvy or uncoordinated it may be. You can start with only 10-15 minutes per day. So that’s what we’ll do. I’ve designed this course to get you started with smallest, least intimidating steps imaginable: your first 30 days of yoga!

Maybe you’re one of the people who looked at my standard 30 Days of Yoga course and thought: “That’s what I need. That’s exactly what I need to loosen the knots in my shoulders, the constant pain in my lower back, this feeling that I’m never going to catch up. But where would I find the time to do yoga? I’m overwhelmed with everything else as it is! I’ll do that course as soon as things are less busy.”

Well I was listening. And I knew I had to make something for you. I couldn’t get rid of this idea that the very people who needed my yoga course the most felt like it was just going to add more stress to their lives, rather than help ease it.

AnnaAnna and I created this course because we know what it’s like to practice yoga with a body that probably won’t be on the cover of a yoga mag anytime soon (although we’d totally buy that mag if it were!), whether because our curves are too fabulous to be contained there, that nagging knee injury or that creaky noise your back makes in the morning. This is yoga for your body.
